SSNIT for self-employed workers

The Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) runs the Self-Employed Enrolment Drive (SEED). Here is a quick guide to its public information.

SEED is separate from the Koraluxe task guide. This public resource does not imply SSNIT endorsement or enrol anyone in SEED.

Who it’s for

SEED is intended for self-employed people and workers in the informal sector.

Where to register

Visit an SSNIT branch for help enrolling. Bring your GhanaCard if you have one.

SSNIT registration is free

SSNIT does not charge to register for SEED. This does not describe the costs of Koraluxe tasks.

Regular contributions

Once registered, members make regular contributions to SSNIT. Ask SSNIT how much you would pay.
